Stories from #GrownfromtheHeart Events
In Chemistry Class:
Many of the students building the hydroponic systems were questioned as to why they were taking empty soda bottles to school along with other materials. They were encouraged to explain to their parents what a hydroponic system is and what the goal was. At many of the events we attended people were fascinated by the hydroponic prototype we showcased.
People talked about how easily available these systems should be and how they can help many families who have little time to go to the market. This helps the idea we are trying to show families, the idea of healthy, affordable, and time manageable eating. One family had even wanted to make a system of their own. Another had said that this would be a great way to get delicious and nutritious vegetables while reducing our carbon footprint.
