East Side Art Festival
Saturday, March 23, 2019 | Los Angeles, CA

Torres High School hosts an annual art festival event that brings the community together through an appreciation of diverse arts. Our group showcased our cause through various activities and presentations. We prepared different DIY crafts for the attendees including planting one's own greens from a wide selection of herbs to a trivia wheel with multiple prizes. Moreover, participants created their own arts and crafts consisting of Shrinky Dinks for children as well as their parents who were incredibly eager to participate. Families not only enjoyed getting to plant their own greens but also coloring and occasionally getting an answer right. Above all, people liked the idea of having a source with fresh greens and teaching their children the value of healthy eating in a fun way. Conclusively, we learned the importance of both commitment and dedication in order to plan an event and accomplish it.
